We are passionate about Events and going the extra mile is par for the course for us, so we’re delighted to share the news that we have achieved international ISO 20121 status.
Far more than a collection of letters and numbers this is recognition of the standard that our Event Sustainability management system is deemed to have reached. The certification board considers an organisation’s commitment to sustainability; we must demonstrate our apply that commitment environmentally, financially, economically and socially. Excitingly, we’re the first cleaning company in Scotland to have this ISO Accreditation.
We’re always eager to improve our Event knowledge and expertise so, led by Rebecca Speirs, Events Manager, and Mary Moody, Quality/Health & Safety Manager we chose to aim for ISO 20121 Certification, the highest possible accreditation in the sector.
To get certification we had to show that our management system met all of the elements of the standard. While we’re pleased that we didn’t have to change many of our business practises this was an opportunity to reflect on just how sustainable we are, and plan ahead.
Reflecting on Event Case Studies to show where we met the ISO 20121 standards provided the opportunity to see where there was room to improve and it has enabled us to set targets for the 2016 events we already have on the books.
We are delighted with this achievement, it endorses our ability to advise our clients on sustainability issues and help them to deliver the most environmentally friendly events possible.
Looking forward, we will continue to develop our committed to sustainability, and our goal to remain the first choice supplier for cleaning and waste management at Events throughout the UK.
