The Employees of the Month for March have just been announced: Ruth Ajwang and Michelle Russell. Here’s why both were selected.

Ruth Ajwang began working with Spectrum in January 2025 as a cleaning operative. Ruth was nominated by her Manager, Margaret Macmillan, who identified her as a true ambassador for the company and its values.

Speaking about why she nominated Ruth, Margaret said: “Ruth consistently works to an exceptional standard, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic in everything she does. She willingly covers overtime whenever asked, always stepping in without hesitation and ensuring the team and the site are fully supported.

“Her positive attitude is evident; she is always smiling, approachable, and brings a warm, uplifting presence to any site she attends. She is a pleasure to work with and an asset to the team.”

Michelle Russell began working with Spectrum in August 2023 as a Cover cleaner for the North.

Michelle was nominated by her manager, Caroline Kane, to be publicly acknowledged for the positive attitude she shows daily.

Speaking about why she nominated Michelle, Caroline said, “Michelle is a cover cleaner in the North for Spectrum, meaning the very nature of her job can be reactive.  Michelle has a fabulous attitude and supports her colleagues well.  She is an asset to the company and to the sites she covers in Dundee. So, all I can say is well done, Michelle, you deserve it, and thank you for your kindness and willingness to help.”
