After an extremely busy period with our commercial and event contracts, we are catching up on our Employee of the Month Awards. We are delighted to announce the winners of our May Employee of the Month Awards: Sarah Hewwit and Carly Donelly.

Sarah started working as a cleaning operative with Spectrum in September 2022 and was promoted to her current role as Supervisor in July 2025. In the same month in 2025, Carly started as a cleaning operative on the same client site, William Grants – Arete.

Both Sarah and Carly were jointly nominated by Spectrum’s Regional Operations Manager, Helen Love, and Area Manager, John Carlyle. Speaking about the nominations, Helen said, “Both ladies consistently demonstrate a fantastic attitude. At the last meeting with our client, they noted that both employees have an excellent can-do attitude.

“Carly has stepped into the warehouse role following the retirement of a long-term cleaner. She has truly made the role her own, even going above and beyond by introducing additional cleaning tasks in those areas.

 “Sarah, as our Site Supervisor, is the main point of contact for Grants. She is always approachable and accommodating; nothing is too much trouble. She regularly supports with additional requests, even when they fall outside of the standard remit.

John Carlyle added, “I just wanted to share that Carly and Sarah have been recognised at the Arete site last month, in supporting and helping to set up for their roadshow event.

“I also wanted to recognise Carly, who always has a can-do attitude.  Recently, just before the event, the car park tag-in station needed an immediate clean and Carly supported with this request without hesitation.  It is great to see that team members are willing and quick to help.”

We are delighted with the feedback from the client and from our own management team about the difference Sarah and Carly make at William Grants. They are excellent ambassadors for Spectum and first-class team members.
