Health and safety in the workplace should always be a priority, so following on from yesterday’s World Day for Safety and Health at Work, we are sharing some of the measures we take to keep this at the top of our agenda.
We work in a range of environments, including Tier 1 COMAH sites which demand the highest level of safety. Over the last 16 years, we’ve created and refined our bespoke health and safety programme based on proactively managing health and safety to make sure we safeguard the wellbeing of our people, clients and stakeholders.
Our scheme is unique to Spectrum and is made up of bright and engaging training materials (including our Spectrum Safety Alert flyers), which deliver key messages to aid information retention and understanding of health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace. This includes posters designed to be displayed in our cleaning cupboards for staff to refer to on a daily basis, with the aim of keeping health and safety at the forefront of all our activity. These cover Colour Coding, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Machinery, Dilution Rates, Uniforms, Site Cupboards, Signing In & Out and Holidays/Absences – all important aspects of health and safety at work.
Our newly branded training scheme has been extremely well received, creating discussion and engagement about health and safety at all levels.
As we continue to grow as a company, it has never been more important to keep health and safety a priority at all times and we are always looking for ways to set our standards even higher!
