We are delighted to report a busy start to 2023; it is excellent to see contract renewals and new contract wins continue at the same pace as last year.
Last year, we published details of extensions to existing contracts which is fantastic for Spectrum; it reflects the hard work of our staff to deliver an excellent service to our clients. But it’s also great to be able to publish news of contract wins, cementing our commitment to growth.
Firstly, we are further supporting the R&A with office cleaning services in their temporary offices in Glasgow before launching their new and exciting initiative, Golf It.
The R&A, Golf’s governing body, recently revealed Golf It as the name of its brand-new golf concept that will open in Glasgow next summer. Golf It! will be a new community-based golf and entertainment facility located on the south bank of Hogganfield Loch following the redevelopment of the Lethamhill golf course. The new indoor and outdoor attraction marks a significant financial investment by The R&A towards making Golf more accessible and inclusive.
We look forward to working with the R&A again as they prepare to launch this exciting new project.
In Aberdeen, we are pleased to announce that we will provide cleaning and sanitary services to Fisher German at another office site in the city. Fisher German is one of the UK’s leading firms of specialist property consultants and chartered surveyors, with 750 people across 29 offices.
We have also won the contract to provide a range of services for the Scottish Ambulance Service at three locations; Douglas, Annan and Lockerbie. We already work with the Scottish Ambulance services at several locations in Edinburgh & the Lothians, and we look forward to adding these three centres in the Scottish Borders to our client portfolio.
In Hamilton, Spectrum will provide various services for a utility connections business. We look forward to working with them at their Hamilton International Business Park offices, where we provide cleaning, waste, window cleaning, sanitary and consumables services.
We have also won the contract to provide Jewish Care Scotland with our services at their Giffnock premises. Walton Community Care Centre was custom-built for Jewish Care Scotland; it is the focal point for delivering all its services to the local community. We look forward to supporting their team at the centre by providing cleaning services.
Our final recent triumph is just that; we are excited to provide cleaning services to Triumph at their motorcycle showroom in Hillington, Glasgow. This iconic brand needs no introduction and has been at the forefront of motorcycle design and manufacturing for 120 years. We look forward to working with the team at their showroom and workshops in Glasgow.
Spectrum’s Managing Director, Sara Speirs, spoke about the recent contract wins and commented: “It’s been a fantastic start to the year with so many contract wins; it’s always good to win new business, but doing so at this time of year gives us confidence that 2023 is shaping up to be another excellent year. It’s also great to see so many great brands added to our list of clients, and we look forward to working closely with all of them in the future.”
Of course, it’s not all new client contracts; we continue to celebrate extensions to contracts and the expansion of contracts. This month, we have had a significant contract extension with a transportation client to include more ancillary services such as landscaping, pest control, window cleaning and driver’s toilets.
We are delighted with the progress made at the start of 2023 as we begin working closely with these new clients; we are also in discussions with many more that we hope to bring you news about in the coming weeks.
