One last golfing hurrah

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is considered as one of the richest golf tournaments on the European tour, and this week it returns to St. Andrews, the ‘home of golf’ for its 35th year, where we couldn’t be any more excited to be providing cleaning and janitorial services across the four-day event.

The pro-am tournament is taking place from September 26-29 at three of the most prestigious links courses in the world: Carnoustie, Kingsbarn and The Old Course. It incorporates two separate competitions – an individual professional tournament for the world’s leading golfers and the Team Championship, in which the professionals partner up with amateur players.

World Top 10 stars, Rory McIllroy, Justin Rose and Jon Rahm are in the line-up for the Championship, as well as other big names such as two-time runner-up Tommy Fleetwood and double Alfred Dunhill Links Champion Tyrrell Hatton.

And it’s not only golf stars who’ll be making an appearance. Justin Timberlake, Ronan Keating and Piers Morgan are among the amateurs confirmed.

Our team will be working steadily in the background providing cleaning and janitorial services for areas including hospitality, grandstands, on course toilets, public catering areas, spectator refreshment areas, etc. It’s crucial that we make this a clean and safe event for all attending.

It may mark the 35th year for the tournament, but for us, it marks the final event in our 2019 golf calendar. This year, we have had the pleasure of delivering a range of services at some of the world’s leading golfing events, including The Open and the Solheim Cup. Our team have certainly learned that events like such bring a very particular set of challenges, with the number of people who attend, all of whom consume food and drinks over an extended period each day.

However, working at these events has unquestionably enhanced our experience and prepared us for more exciting opportunities in 2020. We are looking forward to it already!
