Double first for Spectrum at the British Masters

This week sees a double first for Spectrum as we prepare for the British Masters at Close House in Newcastle upon Tyne.  It’s by no means our first golfing event, we’ve worked extensively with the European Tour at the Ryder Cup, five Scottish Opens and the recent Ladies Scottish Open and Scottish Seniors Open, however we have never worked at the British Masters and it’s our first time working at a European Tour event in South of the border.

We are delighted to be working with the European Tour again, especially at such a prestigious event with such a good field of players who will be watched live all over the world.

Like the strong filed of competitors, we’ve spent the first part of the week doing our preparations; whilst the players have been fine tuning their swings and perfecting their putting, we’ve been putting the finishing touches to the many areas we’re responsible for during the competition.  Over and above the vast open areas on the course, we also provide cleaning and waste management services for all other public areas; this includes, public catering, merchandising, corporate hospitality suites, VIP areas, official and technical areas and BOH operational areas.

As you can imagine, large crowds spread across many acres of this beautiful Newcastle course will create many challenges, and with worldwide TV coverage of the event, it is essential to keep it clean, tidy and free of waste at all times.  The preparations are almost complete and we’re looking forward to welcoming large crowds for the practice and competition days.  We wish all the competitors the best of luck as they too take on the challenges presented at Close House.

Below are some of the pictures from the various areas which are now ready to receive hospitality guests and spectators.
