Our latest contract announcement gives us great pleasure. We have started working with the Hansel Foundation, the incredible and long-established social care charity that provides exceptional assistance and resources to people who require additional support.
Spectrum is providing cleaning services in all public areas at two sites, Broadmeadows (Hansel Village) in East Ayrshire and Shawburn in Prestwick.
The Hansel Foundation dates back to 1963, and since its inception, it has focused on breaking down barriers faced by people with additional support needs and creating inclusive environments, opportunities, and choices to enable people living in Ayrshire to enjoy independent and fulfilling lives.
Speaking about their appointment, Rebecca Bell, Spectrum’s Operations Director said: “This is an important contract for Spectrum, we have been aware of the valuable work the Hansel Foundation does in communities in Ayrshire for many years. It’s particularly pleasing to be chosen to provide services for them because their values are perfectly aligned with ours.”
Hansel’s mission is to deliver empowering support so every person feels included and experiences equality, choice, dignity, compassion and respect.
Rebecca went on to say: “Spectrum, as part of the larger Facilities Management sector, thrives on offering opportunities and options to a diverse range of individuals. From experienced professionals to those new or without formal qualifications, we believe in giving everyone a chance.
We hire for attitude, and from there, we train and support our employees in reaching their highest potential. Hansel’s mission to foster independence and self-respect aligns perfectly with what we stand for at Spectrum.”
We applaud the work the Hansel Foundation do in the community, and we look forward to a long partnership with them at Broadmeadows and Shawburn.
