A Clean Sweep at the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Park

The highly anticipated Scottish Cup Final took place at Hampden Park on Saturday 25th May, and Spectrum was thrilled to be a part of it all!

The heated match saw almost 50,000 attendees watch on at Hampden Park, with the match also being broadcast on BBC. Hearts of Midlothian initially took the lead, however it was Celtic FC that came out on top with a final score of 2-1, making Celtic the reigning Scottish Cup Final 2019 Champions and the proud achievers of the historic Treble Treble.

The Spectrum team delivered window cleaning and stadium cleaning throughout the event, including a comprehensive venue cleaning plan, vital to the smooth running of the day. Large scale events such as the Scottish Cup Final which welcome thousands upon thousands of spectators, not to mention a live TV audience of millions, require thorough planning and a well-executed cleaning strategy to ensure it runs successfully. Factors such as adverse weather conditions, the placing of TV cameras and the flow of the crowd must all be considered months beforehand. Our events team are well experienced in working in challenging, busy and very public areas, allowing for a successful delivery every time.

Hampden Park is a longstanding client of ours, in fact we have worked with Scotland’s National Stadium for over 10 years now. We are looking forward to continuing our work at the iconic venue at music and sporting events coming up in the Summer including the P!NK concerts on 22nd and 23rd June, as well as the various UEFA EURO 2020 Qualifier matches over the course of the year.
