Women’s sport is very much the topic of the day following the fantastic success of the England Women’s Football team last weekend; congratulations to them. This week is the AIG Women’s Open at Muirfield, another major event in the golfing calendar.

The Spectrum Events Team is delighted to be working with the R&A and IMG to provide a safe and clean environment for players, officials, spectators and hospitality guests. Our team has finished the preparations, the practice days are now underway, and we look forward to large crowds from Thursday when the competition gets underway.

Like Women’s Football, Women’s Golf has been steadily gaining popularity. Beyond the spectators at Muirfield, there will be a large global audience following the progress of the best female golfers in the World as they take on the challenges posed by one of the World’s most famous courses.

We are delighted at the attention Women’s sport is receiving; as a business with an all-women board, we are particularly pleased to be playing a part at Muirfield this week. We thank the R&A and IMG for the opportunity they have given us to be part of another significant Women’s sporting event.
