Engaging and communicating with our clients is one of the strengths we pride ourselves on at Spectrum. We believe the best way to create long-term relationships is to be active with our clients in a manner that enables them to get to know what we do and how we do it. That’s why we are always delighted when a client invites us to participate in their events like we recently did at dsm-firmenich’s manufacturing site in Dalry, Ayrshire.
Annually, dsm-firmenich hosts a safety day where all core contractors (including the onsite fire team) present a safety topic. This year, Spectrum’s Contract Manager Ally Love and QHSE Manager Nikki Monaghan were there to showcase the services Spectrum provides, as well as to allow clients, stakeholders, and contractors to try out some of our cleaning equipment onsite.
These annual events are a first-class way for Spectrum to showcase the equipment and processes we deploy in fulfilling the dsm-firmenich contract, but they also enable greater dialogue with other stakeholders; this not only leads to a better understanding of what everyone does but also identifies opportunities to refine the services and processes, often through collaboration with other contractors.
All too often, there is an assumption that everyone knows what each contractor does. Still, it’s only with this kind of interaction that we can demonstrate the equipment we use and the processes we employ that we can really help the client and those working alongside us fully appreciate what we do, why we do it and what we achieve. Thank you to dsm-firmenich for including us in their recent annual safety day; we hope they got as much from the event as our staff did.
