Spectrum is thrilled to announce that we have recently won the contract for cleaning services at the world’s leading museum of art & design, V&A, for their new state-of-the-art Dundee Museum.

V&A is a world-renowned name, not only in the arts and design sector, but for consumers worldwide. The new museum, designed by acclaimed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and associates, will explore the global importance of design alongside showcasing Scotland’s exceptional design works. We are privileged to have the chance to work closely with such a prestigious institution at their new state-of-the-art Dundee museum located on the River Tay amongst the new £1 billion waterfront transformation. We are truly delighted to have been appointed to help maintain the excellent standards of the brand within the new building to visitors from all over the world and the likely global media coverage.

We have the capability and experience to deliver our services to all sizes of premises, and the new 8000m² V&A Dundee museum building is no different. Spectrum will provide a range of cleaning services for the museum, including daily cleaning in the office and associated areas, break out areas, canteen, showers and locker rooms, sanitary and washroom services, provision of consumables, window cleaning, provision of day-time janitorial services, as well as a quarterly deep clean.

Working in a museum environment with items that can be hundreds and sometimes thousands of years old requires extreme care and attention. Our team are trained to the highest standards to ensure we maintain the building to its very best, whilst having no impact on the valuable items the museum hosts.

The new contract win at V&A Dundee comes at a very exciting time for Spectrum as we have recently expanded our presence in the North of Scotland. Rapid growth and an increase in contracts in this area has led us to recently open two new offices, in Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Subsequently, we are looking forward to working with a range of new clients in the north whilst becoming even more accessible to our current clients.

The new V&A Dundee museum opens Saturday 15th September at 1 Riverside Esplanade, Dundee. It will be open 7 days a week to the public with free admission.
