It’s been another busy week for the Spectrum events team; we’re at Carnoustie this week for the AIG Women’s Open. The tension is mounting as we go into the weekend, and the golf seems to get better and better. At the top of the leaderboard are America’s Mina Harigae and Britain’s Georgia Hall, with many of the world’s leading players in close pursuit.
Up to 8000 spectators are allowed to be at Carnoustie this year, so the Spectrum events team is again in attendance to provide an extensive range of services. We will provide cleaning in the public villages, sponsor and partner’s structures, hospitality areas, and the areas set aside for players, contractors, officials and technical personnel.
In addition, we will be responsible for litter picking, the provision of hygiene services and products, and the replenishment of consumables. This year, our services will also include Hydrogen Peroxide Fogging and COVID-19 Cleaning.
Having provided the same services at Royal St George’s for the Open Championship in July, our team haven’t had much time off over the summer, but we’re not complaining; it’s great to be back supporting live sporting events up and down the country.
You can see from the pictures below that the early morning weather has not been kind to us, but the forecast is for better to come. As the competition heats up today and Sunday, we are sure the crowds will enjoy some great golfing action.
