Team spirit set to prevail on the golf course again this week…

Team golf seems to be the order of the day. No sooner have we finished the Ryder Cup when some of the world’s top golfers descend on Fife for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.  It may not have the same intensity as the Ryder Cup, but rest assured that the pros and their celebrity teammates will be competing just as hard.

Indeed the Ryder Cup Captain Padraig Harrington and team members Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrrell Hatton and Shane Lowry will all be present.  Joining them will be a host of celebrities including Piers Morgan, Jamie Redknapp, Lord Ian Botham, Sir Steve Redgrave, Stephen Hendry, Ruud Gullit, and Hue Lewis are among the many stars who will contest for the team prize this year.

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is a unique event contested over three magnificent golf courses in Fife; St Andrews, Carnoustie and King’s Barns.  Each team plays all three courses, and the top players compete in the final round over St Andrews Old Course on Sunday.

Because the event being played in three locations makes it a very busy time for the Spectrum Events team.  We will provide cleaning in the public villages, sponsor and partner’s structures, hospitality areas, and the areas set aside for players, contractors, officials and technical personnel.

In addition, we will be responsible for litter picking, the provision of hygiene services and products, and the replenishment of consumables. This year, our services will also include specialist COVID-19 Cleaning.

Although a serious competition on the European Tour, the celebrities’ presence makes this a very entertaining event, one our staff enjoy and look forward to each year.  We wish all professionals and amateurs every success as they start their quest to become the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship winners.
