Spectrum will play their part at Hampden this Sunday

Many of our Events Team are busy again this week in preparation for the Scottish League Cup Final at Hampden Park.

As you may be aware, Spectrum Service Solutions prepare the stadium for all major events. Just over a month ago, we had two consecutive days of semi-finals where we had to very quickly prepare the stadium during Saturday evening ready for the Sunday game.

This time round we may not have the challenge of two games in two days, but there is something extra special about a final, and we’re already feeling the excitement rising as the weekend approaches.  It is sure to be a great event and both Dundee United and Celtic supporters are sure to make it a very colourful affair indeed.  Of course, both teams want to win. Dundee would like to make it a hat-trick of wins to add to their successes in 1979/80 and 1980/81 – Celtic too are eager to add to the massive fourteen successes they have enjoyed in the past.

Whilst both teams, and their supporters will be totally focussed on the game, Spectrum Service Solutions will be focussed on delivering a perfectly presented stadium.  Our teams will be out in force during this week making all the arrangements that deliver a venue ready for the VIP’s, teams, spectators, and of course, live TV coverage

The final whistle will signal the start of celebrations for the successful team, it will also signal the start of the massive clean up operation that follows all major sporting events, and that’s when Spectrum Service Solutions play their part.  We now have lots of experience with these large events, especially the ones hosted at Hampden Stadium. However, no matter how often we are involved, we still enjoy all of the anticipation and excitement that is very much part of any finals day.
