We’re no strangers to the Kiltwalk, which kicks off its first of four events in Glasgow at the end of this month. For the fifth year running, we are excited to be working with our longstanding partners once again and sponsoring the annual charity event which raises millions of pounds for Scottish charities every year.
The Kiltwalk 2019 takes place across four Scottish cities; Glasgow on 28th April, Aberdeen on 2nd June, Dundee on 18th August and lastly Edinburgh on 15th September. Each year, thousands of Kiltwalker’s dawn tartan and get their walking boots on to raise funds for a charity of their choice. Since the Kiltwalk was established in 2011, it has been a powerful fundraising platform for Scottish charities of all sizes and causes to raise vital funds. What makes it so unique is the 40% boost that the organisers, the Hunter Foundation, add to everyone’s total. This generous donation top-up allows the fundraising to go even further in helping those less fortunate in Scotland.
We recognise the importance of giving back to our local and wider community in Scotland, and having opened two new offices last year in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, we are pleased to be a part of this fantastic event taking place right on our door step. We will be providing litter picking and waste management services across all four events this year. These services are key to the safe and smooth running of the Kiltwalk, keeping the course clean and litter free for walkers and supporters to enjoy all day long.
The Kiltwalk is a fantastic, fun event that our whole team really look forward to, and this year is set to be the biggest and best year yet! Good luck to all walkers this year, and if you see us around, say hello!
