2014 is a massive year for Scotland, and Glasgow in particular, with many sporting events, concerts, and awards ceremonies set to take place in the city, and we are proud to be playing a part. One notable event is BBC at the Quay, an event Spectrum Service Solutions is proud to be supporting.
Running from July 19 to August 3 the BBC will have a presence directly outside it’s Glasgow headquarters and studios at Pacific Quay aimed at capturing the energy and excitement in the city.
The festival will host a huge variety of live and recorded radio and TV programmes as well as non-broadcast events, such as The One Show, an appearance from Wet Wet Wet, and A question Of Sport. So it’s safe to say there’ll be something for everyone. You can learn more about the event by clicking here.
With so much on offer, the BBC expect large crowds everyday, and that means there’ll be a need for the site to be cleaned and maintained to ensure the health and safety of all those attending. But, it’s more than simply cleaning; Spectrum Service Solutions is responsible for the full waste streaming, ensuring the responsible disposal of all waste everyday. And, when it’s all over, we will ensure the site is reinstated to its original condition.
Whilst others will take the limelight in front of the cameras, our staff with play a pivotal part in the comfort and enjoyment of the BBC staff, entertainers, and the audiences, and that’s something we’re proud to do.
