We are delighted to announce that Spectrum Service Solutions has been recognised as a Recognised Service Provider by the Living Wage Foundation.
Spectrum Service Solutions has met the standards set by Citizens UK and the Centre for Civil Society for good practice by providers of personnel under contract, and we are pleased to be listed on the Living Wage website as a Recognised Service Provider.
The principle behind the Living Wage is simple and powerful: that work should bring dignity and enable families to enjoy the essentials of life. The Living Wage is calculated annually according to the basic cost of living in the UK and expressed as an hourly wage rate.
It’s important to distinguish that the real Living Wage is voluntary and is a higher hourly rate than the National Living Wage. Currently, the Real Living Wage, to which we are committed, is set at £10.90 per hour across the UK and £11.95 per hour in London. These are set by the Resolution Foundation and overseen by the independent Living Wage Commission.
As a Recognised Service Provider we are proudly working with the Living Wage Foundation to promote the real Living Wage. We believe in paying a decent wage to our staff, who carry out vital work for many organisations, and therefore we will always provide a Living Wage costed bid. This allows you to decide if the Living Wage is right for your organisation.
As a Recognised Service Provider, Spectrum Service Solutions has committed to the following:
- Other than those engaged in delivering services under a contract for a specific client, all our employees are paid at or above the UK or London Living Wage rate, as appropriate.
- We will increase the amount of Living Wage paid to such employees by the amount of any increase to the Living Wage as announced, as appropriate, within six months of such an announcement.
- We will submit a separately costed Living Wage compliant bid with responses to requests for estimates for the supply of personnel and invitations to tender unless a prospective customer expressly requests Spectrum Service Solutions does not do so.
