In the world of golf, the Solheim Cup is a calendar highlight. Set in Scotland, the ‘Home of Golf’, it is taking place at Gleneagles, the scene of Europe’s 2014 Ryder Cup victory. It is the pinnacle of women’s golf with the leading golfers from Europe and the USA competing in an exciting and competitive match play format. The 2019 Solheim Cup will be the 16th edition of the event and Spectrum are delighted to have been invited back to provide services at Gleneagles, a venue that we are very familiar with.
We have extensive experience in providing cleaning and waste management services to golfing events, having been contracted for various events up and down the country over the years. Our team knows Gleneagles well through working at the likes of The 2018 European Golf Championships. It is a venue like no other that always promises a stunning setting for golf events, and we are delighted to have been selected to keep the course and grounds clean, tidy and safe for all involved.
From 9th-15th September 2019, we will provide a range of cleaning and waste management services for the Solheim Cup. Gleneagles will be at the centre of the golfing world and will be televised to an international TV audience of millions. It is therefore our priority to ensure the venue is showcased in its very best light to show off how beautiful Scotland can truly be!
When it comes to golfing events like the Solheim Cup, there are a unique set of challenges that our team know well. These events welcome thousands of spectators and players not to mention broadcasting to the world. With food and drink being consumed throughout the day, litter must be well managed despite weather conditions. A well-executed cleaning and waste management plan must be in place to maintain perfect playing conditions.
We are looking forward to working at Gleneagles once again!
