The news that we are finalists for not one, but two, awards at the Scottish Business Awards: Family Business of the Year and the RBS Customer Focus Award has been very welcome at Spectrum this week.

These annual awards gather together Scottish businesses from every sector to celebrate and share individual successes – so it’s a great networking opportunity as well as a tough competition.

We are delighted to be named amongst some very recognisable family businesses as finalists for Family Business of the Year. Last year’s winner in the category was Zonal who have grown in recent years to become an international technology company, so we’re delighted to be considered within the category.

Gaining recognition for our customer service is great affirmation as our customers are vitally important and key to our growth. To be named as finalists for the RBS Customer Focus Award is a great reflection of all of our hard work and we’re delighted to be recognised for our customer service from across business sectors in Scotland.

It’s not simply a chance to reflect on hard work, or a great opportunity to rub shoulders with other growing businesses, the evening is also a chance to hear from inspiring keynote speakers every year. This year it’s the turn of silver screen legend, actor and humanitarian George Clooney. Sir Chris Hoy will join the host, Rob Brydon, for a guest appearance too – so we look forward to a star studded night.

We’re delighted to be considered for both awards and look forward to raising a glass to Scottish business leaders. On the night we will also enjoy the fact that all profits from the event are donated to charity – although with entrepreneur Josh Littlejohn at the helm it’s unsurprising!
