Over the last couple of months, you’ll have seen a great deal about our events team and the various sporting events we’ve already worked at in 2022. But, it’s worth noting that while sport will be a big part of our summer, music will be equally significant (and probably much louder!).
We are looking forward to the return of large-scale concerts at Hampden Park Stadium, and we’ll keep you updated with information on these as they come along. We are also delighted to be working with DF Concerts & Events, Scotland’s leading music event promoter and organiser. This year we will be working with them on many prestigious events, including cinch presents TRNSMT at Glasgow Green and Big Top at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh. More to come on these events and many more as the summer season unfolds.
However, the first of our music events is this weekend in Dundee as part of the DF Concerts & Events Summer Sessions programme in Dundee and Edinburgh. On Saturday 11th, we are looking forward to Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds; then on Sunday 12th, it’s the turn of the Stereophonics; both are certain to be lively and highly entertaining.
We are also excited about how the Summer Sessions events align with our commitment to ESG. As with many of our events, we will be using a large proportion of local staff; but more than that, we plan to operate a non-chemical cleaning procedure whenever possible. Better still, the system we are using is provided by a local supplier in Dundee.
We have already written about non-chemical cleaning and how we use it whenever possible. Still, we are delighted that we can work with Dew Products, a Dundee company starting an eco-cleaning revolution. Like Spectrum, they have an Eco-Friendly, Green vision for the future, powered by Electrolysed water.
So, what is Electrolysed Water? They take de-ionised water and high purity salt solution and apply a small electrical charge to every water molecule. This divides the brine solution into two highly versatile liquids with either a positive or negative charge. The negative charge creates a liquid highly versatile for cleaning and degreasing applications. The positive charge creates a sanitising liquid 80 times more effective than alcohol or bleach at destroying bacteria and viruses.
Dew Products use reclaimed plastic in their bottles where possible, and all our bottles are recyclable and reusable. Salt and water are all that go in. There is no waste or by-products created. What comes out are two highly effective liquids without harmful chemicals.
Cleaning just got Supercharged. We have removed harmful chemicals and replaced them with a small electrical charge on each water molecule; the results are excellent. Dew cuts through grease and grime without harming you or yours. There is no need for gloves; just spray on leave for a minute or two and wipe.
So, we are delighted that we will be able to offer a first-class cleaning service at Slessor Gardens that is as eco-friendly as possible. We will provide cleaning and litter-picking services throughout what promises a great weekend.
