The COVID-19 pandemic has been an enormously difficult time for everyone however we appreciate the acknowledgement from Prime Minister, Boris Johnson and then opposition leader, Jeremy Corbyn that cleaners play a vital role in the UK.
Those familiar with Spectrum will know that we have always placed a high value on our people; without them, we would not be where we are today. However, they largely go unnoticed as they go about their daily routines. As both the Prime Minister & Opposition Leader acknowledged in parliament recently, they are ‘unsung heroes’, a view very much mirrored by everyone at Spectrum. They have always worked hard to keep our places hygienic and safe, so it was good to see this mentioned and accepted by our political leaders. We were also pleased that the Chairman of the British Cleaning Council (BCC), Paul Thrupp responded to parliaments comments and called for cleaners to be given ‘critical or key worker’ status.
Cleaners are very much part of the solution, and they must be able to provide their services if we are to fight coronavirus and make sure it is eradicated from places of work. That is why Spectrum continues to offer assistance to those who need our support.
We have teams working throughout our portfolio at essential sites where the client has confirmed to us that our cleaners are key workers and a critical part of their operation. These include Ambulance Stations, medical manufacturing facilities, and food and drink manufacturers who are working to provide ventilators, critical services or helping to maintain the Scottish economy.
Other clients are using the shutdown period to deep clean their premises; this is something that all businesses should consider, especially if the building is going to be closed for an extended period.
As well as our deep cleaning service, if you have a case or suspected case on your premises, we may be able to deploy hydrogen peroxide fumigation. Hydrogen peroxide treatment delivered by an electrostatic device is a method of dealing with bacterial and viral infections and harmful organisms. The process involves the delivery of hydrogen peroxide vapour in a dry form with a fogger or electrostatic charge. It is ideal for use in enclosed or open spaces where there is a presence of electrical, electronic or other sensitive devices.
Our primary concern remains the health and wellbeing of our staff, all of whom are working within the government’s guidelines. We thank them for the contribution they are making to keep essential places of business operable, and for what they are doing to maintain the hygiene standards for our clients.
If you would like to find out more about any of our specialist cleaning services, please contact us at enquiries@spectrumservicesolutions.com, we will be happy to discuss what we can do for you.
