At Spectrum Service Solutions, our specialist team of event managers have had a busy year so far and as we approach the end of summer, it’s not about to stop!
The Great Scottish Run takes place on Friday 4th to Sunday 6th October. This event has been running for 31 years and every year it has grown in size and popularity. Last year, the event saw a record high of 24,089 runners taking part which reaffirmed the race as the largest mass participation sporting event in the country!
And this year, depending on the weather, we are expecting to see around 50,000 people enjoying the beautiful city course in the heart of Glasgow.
As this is an event of such large scale, a lot of time is spent planning prior to the event. Event cleaning is a highly specialised type of cleaning which our team of event managers have perfected down to a fine art.
We are able to provide this service to fixed venues such as stadia or concert halls, as well as temporary facilities such as festivals or sporting events.
Our dedicated team of event managers are delighted to be working alongside Nova Events at the Great Scottish Run.
At the event our team will be there in force litter picking and sweeping, to make sure the water stations and route is clean and ready for use again when the race is finished. We will also be managing the start and finish lines at George Square and Glasgow Green.
You can watch The Great Scottish Run live on BBC2, so keep your eyes peeled for our big appearance on television!
The atmosphere in the streets of Glasgow are guaranteed to be electric! Will you be taking part in the Great Scottish Run this year? Let us know by leaving a comment on our Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.
