Today is the first of two events taking part over the next four days at the same venue – Glasgow Green. The Spectrum Events Team has been busy all week setting up for tonight’s Biffy Clyro concert, and Scotland’s biggest festival, TRNSMT. The festival runs from Friday to Sunday and features top acts such as Courteeners, Liam Gallagher, Keane, Primal Scream, Snow Patrol, The Chemical Brothers and Amy Macdonald.
Organised by DF Concerts, these will be the biggest events of this type in Scotland since the easing of COVID restrictions. With a maximum capacity of 40,000 tonight and 50,000 for each day of TRNSMT, it’s shaping up to be a busy weekend for the Spectrum Events Team.
We will provide enhanced COVID cleaning and disinfection to all touchpoints, FOH barriers, benches, marquees, cabins, Q Lanes, box offices, help points and accessible platforms. In addition, we are working with toilet cabin provider QDOS to provide the toilet attendants for every shift throughout the event.
While it’s undoubtedly a busy weekend, the whole team is excited and looking forward to the next few days. We’ve already been involved with some of the biggest sporting events in the country this year, and it’s fantastic to see the music scene starting to return to normal too. Hopefully, the weather is kind, and the crowds enjoy the experience of a large-scale live event returning to the city.
