Spectrum is proud to have achieved a long list of impressive awards over the years, commending our standards of excellence and success. Now, we are celebrating once again as Managing Director, Sara Speirs, has been announced as a Scottish finalist for the 2018 EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
The prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year UK awards are now in their 20th year of celebrating, supporting, and connecting entrepreneurs. This year, 23 leaders from a variety of industries across Scotland have made the finals, and will now compete for the Scottish title. The overall Scottish winner is to be announced at a ceremony in the luxurious setting of Gleneagles in June, before the winners from Scotland and English regions then advance to the November UK finals. The UK programme is much more than a business award – it’s part of an international programme which supports entrepreneurs in more than 150 cities worldwide.
Last year’s Scottish winner, Edel Harris of social care charity Cornerstone, won due to her passion, drive and strategic mindset. All of which the judges will be on the lookout for this year. The award acknowledges the success and contributions of the country’s best entrepreneurs, and Sara is a strong contender in the ‘Scale Up’ category, in which she is up against 4 other Scottish leaders.
The hard work and commitment of the whole team at Spectrum plays an important part in the success we have experienced over the years. We are delighted to have recently have been appointed on a number of noteworthy projects, including work with The Glasgow 2018 European Championships, The Kiltwalk, Micron and Lothian Buses. We’re proud to be working on such large-scale projects, and will continue to uphold Spectrum as a cleaning and facilities management leader throughout 2018 and beyond.
We hope you’ll join us in wishing Sara all the best, our fingers are crossed!
