July was a exciting month for Spectrum; after all, we have all of our growing portfolio of permanent commercial contracts to service whilst at the height of the events season. We’re always proud when our people really shine and pull together as a team. It’s one of the reasons we like to recognise their achievements with our monthly awards.
Those who have followed us for a while will remember that it was one employee who won each month, but as the business has grown, we have extended it to two employees each month, and we’re delighted to announce that July’s awards go to Helen Hamilton and Melissa Rooney.
Helen Hamilton started with Spectrum on 19th February 2024. Helen works at the award-winning business hub, HALO Digital, and the Cyber & Innovation Hub in Kilmarnock.
Helen was nominated by her Manager, Euan McKechnie, who spotted her excellent attitude and performance very quickly. He said: “Helen has fitted in well at HALO, working on both morning and afternoon shifts, and has quickly learned every aspect of our cleaning operation. I’m delighted with her daily application and approach.” And it isn’t only Euan who recognises and appreciates her diligence; the client, Scott Darroch, has commented on her exceptionally high cleaning standards and her ‘can do’ attitude.
Melissa Rooney started with Spectrum on 18th July 2012, working at Greaves Sports store in Gordon Street, Glasgow. Like so many, she has progressed with the company and is currently a Supervisor at Hampden Park Stadium. Of course, this has been an especially busy year at the national stadium because Rangers FC have been temporarily using the venue for all home games, which were in addition to the men’s and women’s national team games and concerts. However, Melissa has taken it all in her stride.
Melissa was nominated by her Manager, Helen Love, who said: “Melissa has been great at organising staff to assist with the day-to-day running at Hampden. She’s truly gone above and beyond to ensure the site runs well.” Helen attributes her success to her ability to communicate effectively with the client and her team.
Congratulations to both Helen and Melissa; their hard work and commitment are genuinely appreciated by all at Spectrum; you are both worthy winners and great ambassadors for the company.
