It’s a pleasure to announce that the winners of our Employees of the Month awards for May are Kai Shun Andrew Leung and David Lowry.
Kai Shun Andrew Leung started working with Spectrum in December 2023, and has proven himself to be a very useful addition to the Spectrum team in the East.
Since starting, Kai Shun has worked at many Lothian sites, including Central Depot, Travel Hub Shandwick, Waterloo Place, and Waverley Travel Shop. Regional Operations Manager Katie Dodds was keen to nominate Kai Shun, saying: “Since joining the business, Kai Shun has always been willing to cover short-notice sickness and holiday shifts. He is an extremely hard-working operative who ensures each task is carried out to the expected Spectrum standard.”
Kai Shun is an excellent resource for Spectrum because he is able to go into many environments and fill in for a range of operatives to ensure the client receives the service they expect. His flexibility and willingness to help others are genuine assets.
David Lowry is in his tenth year at Spectrum, having started in April 2016.
David’s initial site was DSM before moving to our new contract at Merck Irvine in April 2025. One of our regional operations managers in the West, Ally Love, nominated David. Speaking about why, he said: “David’s attitude and work ethic are a joy to see; he has taken on a new site and role within the business in his stride. Since Spectrum started up the new contract at Merck Irvine, David has excelled. He continuously goes above and beyond for Spectrum to answer all requests and consistently receives positive feedback from clients about what a great job he does.”
David is a model employee, which is frequently noticed by his colleagues and the clients he works with; he sets a great example, and we’re delighted to have him on board.
Both Kai Shun and David are very fitting winners of our Employees of the Month Award; they truly are great ambassadors for Spectrum; thank you both for your continued hard work and commitment to Spectrum and the clients you work with daily.
