This week, Spectrum is working in Northern Ireland at another significant golf event, the ISPS Handa World Invitational. It may be another golf event in Spectrum’s busy calendar, but this one is slightly different from all the others. Played at Galgorm and Massereene in Northern Ireland, this is a men’s and women’s event and will be two separate tournaments on two courses for two matching prize funds of $1.5 million.
The event is tri-sanctioned by the DP World Tour (Europen Tour), LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour, so the field will be strong with many top golfers teeing it up on what promises to be a sunny week in Antrim.
Because of the association with three different tours worldwide, there is global interest in the outcome. This week’s event will be broadcast worldwide, reaching new audiences in North America, Asia and Europe through live coverage and a global audience of over 640 million.
Spectrum Events Team is already working hard to prepare all player, technical, press, public and hospitality areas ahead of the pro-am on Wednesday and the start of competition on Thursday. Once again, we are delighted to be working at such a significant event, and we wish all of the competitors best wishes as they start to assemble for practice at each venue.
