What a year 2013 was for Spectrum Service Solutions. We can scarcely believe how quickly it passed.

When you think about it, 2013 went so quickly that it’s all a bit of a blur.

Last year saw Spectrum treated to an online makeover with the design of a brand new website as well as the launch of our Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts.

But it wasn’t just about us in 2013. Those of you who know us best will know we always put our clients first, that’s why we talked a lot about Zero waste Scotland.

We felt it important our clients knew exactly what the new legislation, which started on January 1st, meant for them and their business. And to ease the transition, we offered free audits so they were all as prepared as possible, avoiding potentially hefty fines.

2013 was a pretty exciting year at Spectrum Service Solutions. Throughout the year we were privileged to work at some amazing events. From working at Hampden for various concerts including Robbie Williams, and Bon Jovi, as well as the Scottish Communities League Cup Final and all of Scotland’s home games, to lending a hand to the Great Scottish Run, and the Brodies Tennis Championship in Edinburgh. It was a very eventful year for us.

Our excitement wasn’t solely for working at the likes of the Robbie Williams concert. We also enjoyed many awards ceremonies in 2013, including the Herald Family Business Awards and the ROCCO Awards where we won some ‘silverware’!

But it’s not just out at sites where it was all go. Our offices were a hive of activity too with various new members of staff joining the Spectrum team.

We had Margaret join the finance team and Jacqui the sales one. And regular visitors to our Facebook and Twitter pages will have also noticed the escapades of another team member, Henry, which we’re sure will continue into the new year.

As we said, last year was an amazing year for us but we’ve plans in place to ensure 2014 will be even better than 2013, with new sites coming on board and the assembly of a new project team.
