Music festivals have become an established calendar event in the British summer, and not just the large-scale events like Glastonbury; it’s great to see many smaller niche-audience events thriving and growing in reputation. They are certainly featuring more and more in the Spectrum events calendar, most notably events like TRNSMT festival at Glasgow Green and DF Concerts’ Summer Sessions series. Regardless of our busy schedule, we are always pleased to work with new clients at new and emerging events.
We have recently been appointed to provide cleaning and waste management services at Musicfest Mainstage, a family-friendly, one-day music festival being held within the grounds of the Uddingston Cricket Club on Saturday, 6th September, as part of the Bothwell Scarecrow Festival.
The impressive lineup includes The Bluetones, The Supernaturals, Republica, Jumbo Gibson, Brielle, and Scotland’s very own country star, Kevin McGuire. Away from the mainstage, there’s plenty of other attractions, such as the Little Big Top Marquee, specially designed for kids with performances from The Singing Kettle and Astral Circus. In the evening, the Little Big Top Marquee will become a dance space, with the Musicfest DJs spinning feel-good house and dance tunes.
To add to the festival atmosphere, there will be an inflatable zone, funfair rides, bungee trampolines, face painters, market stalls, bars and a food village serving a range of foods. It promises to be a fun-filled and memorable day!
Speaking about this new event on Spectrum’s calendar, CEO, Rebecca Bell, said: “We are genuinely excited to be working at the Musicfest Mainstage, the organisers have done a superb job in gathering an impressive lineup and lots for all to do throughout the day and evening.
“Throughout the summer, we have worked at some of the most established events on the calendar, such as the Open Championship and the TRNSMT, so it’s great to be involved in newer events that have a real family feel. These days are invariably hard work, but great fun too!”
