We are excited to announce that Sharon Angus has won our Employee of the Month prize for October. Sharon works at the Piramal site in Grangemouth. Sharon started working with Spectrum when she was TUPE transferred into the business in October 2023, but she is not new to the site; she has worked there since March 2017.

We are delighted to welcome Sharon to the Spectrum team; she has already proven to be an exceptional addition with a can-do attitude.

The nomination came from Sharon’s manager, Kevin Cairns, and here’s what he had to say about her: “I want to nominate Sharon Angus. Sharon transferred under TUPE from the previous cleaning contractor and wanted a fresh start within the new building at Piramal. She works very well guiding and encouraging the team.

“Sharon is also fantastic with the clients and communicates with them regularly; she is on the phone with them at 7am every morning to verify paperwork and agree on what’s required for the day. She maintains excellent stock control standards and has a clear understanding of what’s required and when. She has taken the building on like it’s one of her kids and delivers a great service. Sharon is also amazing with all our new starts and makes a point of checking in with each one of them to make sure they are all OK and that they are confident in what they are doing.”

Rebecca Bell, Spectrum’s Operations Director, added: “I’ve heard nothing but excellent reports about Sharon since she started with Spectrum. Her colleagues and our clients like her, and we are fortunate that she decided to join us and make the transition to Spectrum; it’s always a bonus when good quality people with experience of the site decide to TUPE over to us. That’s certainly the case with Sharon.”
