HALO Kilmarnock, another contract win in an award-winning building

We have another new contract win to announce, this time in Kilmarnock at the award-winning HALO Enterprise and Innovation Centre, a fantastic new facility specifically created to provide an inspiring environment for businesses to thrive and grow.

HALO is located on a 23-acre site formerly the home of Johnnie Walker Whisky Plant and incorporates housing, leisure, and work facilities. The focal point of HALO is the Enterprise & Innovation Centre, a commercial hub created to stimulate digital learning, inspire innovative thinking, and provide a conducive environment for spin-outs, new start-ups, scale-ups, digital, manufacturing, and cyber businesses of all sizes.

It is a world-class facility offering various workspace solutions within a thriving community to grow, scale, co-create and develop a business with the help of their #RockMe team, blue-chip commercial and world-renowned academic partners, including Scottish Power, Barclays, Anderson Strathearn, Anderson Anderson Brown LLP, Commsworld, Ayrshire College, Glasgow Caledonian University and more. The HALO #RockMe Trading Floor has a mixture of creative space from hot desks, collaboration pods, and event space to studio office provision.

Not only is this a remarkable space for aspirational business owners and entrepreneurs, but HALO Kilmarnock is also one of the UK’s most environmentally friendly developments. It is a low-carbon energy site powered by renewable energy. Since its completion, HALO Kilmarnock has been recognised by the British Council for Offices (BCO) at their Regional Awards as ‘Scotland’s Best Corporate Workplace‘ and by the Scottish Property Awards for ‘Best Regeneration Project‘.

Spectrum’s Operations Director, Rebecca Bell, commented on the contract, saying: “We are extremely pleased to be awarded this contract. HALO is a fabulous state-of-the-art facility and has already collected a number of prestigious awards. We work in many serviced office buildings throughout Scotland, but I believe this is probably the first one that has been purpose-built. Careful thought has obviously been given to what the target businesses need to support their early growth as well as a focus on sustainability; it certainly is an impressive business.”
