We’re doubling up on our recognition awards in 2024!
Spectrum has grown substantially over the past 20 years, so much so that we’re struggling to choose only one Employee of the Month award. The nominations for awards come from many sources; they can come from fellow employees, line managers, area managers, senior management, directors, and, of course, directly from the client.
Because of our growth, and hopefully also because of the standards our staff regularly achieve, we are getting many more nominations every month than ever before. So, we’ve decided that starting this month, we will name two Employee of the Month Winners each month.
Therefore, in no particular order, our first winner of the January Employee of the Month Award is Alex Smith. Alex works at SAS Edinburgh East. He started work with Spectrum in September 2022, and he’s certainly made an impression on all those around him with consistently excellent feedback about his performance.
Following a client meeting earlier in January, his line manager, Katie Dodds, was compelled to make sure he was nominated this month. Such was the client’s enthusiasm, Katie believes he is a rightful winner this month. Here’s what she had to say about Alex: “My nomination for January Employee of the Month is Alex Smith, who works at SAS Edinburgh East. Following a meeting with the client today, Alex is known for going above and beyond to ensure the base is maintained at a good standard. The client team sang his praises today and seconded my suggestion to put forward this nomination for EOTM”.
The other winner for the January Employee of the Month is equally deserving is Kathleen McKenzie, who began working with Spectrum on 13th January 2020 at CBRE Neptune Energy, with a transferring start date of 31st January 2011.
Both Jennie McColl and Caroline Kane nominated Kathleen, and they had to say, “We would like to Nominate Kathleen McKenzie for Employee of the Month. Kathleen has been employed with Spectrum for four years and was a TUPE transfer, so she has actually worked for the client for considerably longer.
“Kath is very well respected by both the client and other Spectrum staff. She is a highly valued member of the Spectrum team in the North; her work ethic and values are praiseworthy. She is organised and knowledgeable and works tirelessly to ensure client expectations are met and, whenever possible, exceeded.
“Kath is also the first to help others and frequently steps in to help her colleagues. Her constant efforts to help and do her best mean a lot to both Caroline and me, and we would like to say, Kath, thank you for all you do and keep up the good work.”
We echo these words to Kath and also to Alex. You are both a credit to the company, and we appreciate everything you do for your respective clients and your colleagues.
